EGES Elektrik ve Elektronik Gerecler San.ve Tic. A.S. is a principal company, established in 1975 to produce power electronics devices including industrial rectifiers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and induction furnaces.  In 1981 the company began to produce induction furnaces, first one was 75 kg furnace with 50 kW converter.

Today, the scope of the company’s manufacturing capability has increased to 22 MW converters and furnace capacity of 50 ton steel, offering attractive benefits to the customer, mini and medium capacity steel plants and also base of medium to large sized foundries, which have been looking for high technology at affordable prices.

Head office of EGES is based premises in Istanbul near by the international Atatürk Airport, and branch offices in Konya in Turkey, in Moscow Russia.

First international success at the GIFA exhibition in 1999, where EGES was described as the “Rising Star” of induction furnace technology, the EGES has continued to achieve further success in the design of large capacity furnaces.  At GIFA 2011 in Düsseldorf, visitors have again expressed worldwide interest in the group’s products and services. For instance, a supply agreement with Loiselet of France is signed for a 8MW 12 ton M&H system at GIFA 2011. This system is commissioned in 2012.

Today, the EGES has firmly consolidated its position as one of the four leading medium frequency (MF) induction furnace manufacturers in Western countries, with a manufacturing quality that is recognised worldwide and an internationally registered trademark and brand identity. Nearly 800 systems supplied in 53 countries including Canada, France, Germany, India, across four continents

Production site, is located in Cayirova, nearby to Gebze Industrial Zone, 15 km. to the city’s second international airport, Sabiha Gokcen.

Total production area is 4300 m2, plus 1500m2 open air storage, and additional 800 m2 area for offices.
